E-Power Pipe in Oirschot

In the weeks before Christmas, the joint venture DENYS - Kouwenberg successfully applied the new innovative drilling method E-Power Pipe for the first time in the Netherlands.

At a depth of 2 meters below ground level, 2 drillings with a diameter of 500 mm were carried out over a length of 400 meters without affecting the surface. Then bundles of HDPE casing pipes (3* 200 mm and 2* 90 mm) were withdrawn for the future high-voltage cables. A new technique with minimal disruption in which we thought together with initiator Tennet and contractor NRG about solutions for the sustainable challenges of the future.

We also started drilling for a record breaking 2000 meters; we are on our way for the first 630 meters!
